Ingredients
- 2 oz (60ml) Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
- 3 oz (90ml) Cloudy Apple Juice
- 0.5 oz (15ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters (optional, for depth)
- Ice
- For Garnish: Apple slice and/or Cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add the Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, cloudy apple juice, fresh lemon juice, and Angostura Bitters (if using) to the shaker.
- Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until the shaker is thoroughly chilled.
- Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with an apple slice and/or a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips
- Quality Ingredients: Using a good quality cloudy apple juice will make a noticeable difference in the flavour of your cocktail.
- Fresh Lemon: Always use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best, brightest flavour. Bottled lemon juice can taste artificial.
- Chilling is Key: Ensure your drink is well-chilled by using plenty of ice in your shaker and serving glass. This helps to dilute it perfectly and enhance the flavours.
- Spice Adjustment: If you find the cinnamon spice too intense, you can slightly reduce the Fireball to 1.5 oz and increase the apple juice to 3.5 oz.
Variations
- Hot Toddy Style: For a warming winter drink, heat the apple juice gently (do not boil). Combine 2 oz Fireball, 3 oz hot apple juice, and 0.5 oz lemon juice in a mug. Garnish with a lemon wedge studded with cloves.
- Sparkling Ember: After shaking and straining, top your Cinnamon Ember with a splash of ginger ale or sparkling cider for a refreshing fizz.
- Caramel Apple Twist: Add a quarter ounce of caramel syrup to the shaker for a sweeter, more dessert-like take on the drink.
