Virgin Mojito
A classic refreshing mocktail, the Virgin Mojito is a vibrant blend of fresh mint, zesty lime, a touch of sweetness, and sparkling soda water. Perfect for any occasion when you crave something cool and invigorating without the alcohol.

Ingredients
- 10-12 fresh mint leaves
- 1 whole lime, cut into 4-6 wedges
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (or 15ml simple syrup, adjust to taste)
- 150-200ml soda water (or sparkling water)
- Crushed ice
- Garnish: Fresh mint sprig and a lime wedge or wheel
Instructions
- Muddle the Base: In a sturdy highball glass, add the fresh mint leaves, lime wedges, and granulated sugar. Using a muddler, gently press and twist the ingredients together. The goal is to release the oils from the mint and juice from the lime, not to shred the mint leaves.
- Add Ice: Fill the glass generously with crushed ice, almost to the top.
- Top with Soda: Pour the soda water over the ice, filling the glass.
- Stir Gently: Give the drink a gentle stir with a bar spoon to combine the muddled ingredients with the soda water.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a fresh mint sprig (clapping it between your hands first to release its aroma) and a lime wedge or wheel. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips
- Don't Over-Muddle: Muddle just enough to release the oils from the mint. Over-muddling can make the mint taste bitter.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste your mojito before serving. If you prefer it sweeter, add a little more sugar or simple syrup.
